Looking for a licensed borehole yield testing contractor? You are in the right place.

Planning and establishing production boreholes in South Africa is certainly an attractive investment.

Everyone has a different requirement for their borehole water, however the fundamental one is simply water security, that one can manage and control on your own and ensure that there would near always be a supply of good quality water.

Safe to say that with us you can be sure that the correct process will be followed, we have been testing boreholes across South Africa & across border since 2000.

We specialize in borehole yield testing, down the hole camera logging and other groundwater related services for residential, commercial, mining and agricultural sectors.

Yield testing

Extensive experience in yield

testing of boreholes.

We can test boreholes from yield as low as 0.1 l/s up to 50l/s depending of the borehole depth & inner diameter size.

We can test at depths as deep as 450m.

Specialized
Techniques

AB Pumps offers specialized techniques. Throughout the years we have tried and tested many unusual processes and improved on many to be able to provide our clients with a wide range of services not seen of offered elsewhere.  These services range from packer and tracing testing, to airlifting, installation of wire line piezometers, grouting and many more.

We use colour cameras with front view and side view to do borehole logging. With capable technicians under supervision of a geologist we are able to perform a wide range of services such as:
•    Detailed screen inspections
•    Verification of well construction
•    Identification of cracks and holes in casings
•    Detailed stratigraphic evaluation
•    Delineating fracture zones
•    Delineating groundwater flow for setting casings
•    Evaluation of well conditions before sealing
•    Evaluating formations for aquifer development
•    Locating lost tools and equipment
•    Identification of the passage of pollutants

Dewatering
Projects

Dewatering is the action of removing groundwater or surface water from a construction site. It is usually done before excavation for footings and will help to lower the water table that might cause problems during excavations.

Borehole
Rehabilitation

With the use of our rehabilitation drill, we are able to rehabilitate some problem boreholes, without the need for the expensive process of re-drilling boreholes. We also do chemical  rehabilitation of borehole with iron bacteria that binds dissolved iron or manganese to oxygen, forming an undissolved ferric iron compound that causes deposits and bad odours. Over time it can clog the casing of the borehole. This reduces the yield, because the flow of groundwater is restricted. It can also lead to blockages within the distribution system. This process is undertaken by our trained technical field staff & geologist’s supervision.
